2024 Pirots 3ELK Studios
- CollectR birds collect gems by colour
- Bonus game and super bonus game
Pirots 3 sends ELK Studios' four collector birds to the Wild West. It keeps the CollectR mechanic of the first two games and adds gunfights, a bandit and a train heist. This Pirots 3 slot review explains how the game pays, what each feature does, its RTP and max win, and what UK players should know.
Pirots 3 is a 6×7 slot from ELK Studios that pays through the CollectR mechanic: four coloured birds move around the grid and collect gems of their own colour, and each gem pays its value. Feature symbols upgrade gems, expand the grid, start duels between birds, release a bandit or open a coin game. Three bonus symbols collected in one round trigger the bonus game. OLBG lists a 94% RTP and high volatility, and ELK states a 10,000× max win.

Pirots 3 is the third game in ELK Studios' Pirots series, and ELK Studios is the slot provider behind every Pirots game. The first sent the four birds, the Fearful Four, to sea as pirates; this one puts them in a frontier town. ELK describes it as a 6×7 slot with the CollectR mechanic, an expanding grid, symbol upgrades and transformations, wilds, coin wins, a bonus game and a super bonus game, with a potential of 10,000× the bet.
The game does not use paylines. Instead, the grid fills with coloured gems, feature symbols and four birds. The birds then move one at a time and collect what they touch. That makes Pirots 3 look busier than a classic slot, but the rule behind every win is short: a gem pays when the bird of the same colour collects it.
ELK calls CollectR one of the easiest mechanics to grasp: each symbol pays out its value as long as the colour of the gem matches the colour of the bird that collects it. There are blue, green, purple and red gems and birds. OLBG lists the gem values by level, from 0.05× to 7.5× for blue up to 0.1× to 30× for red. Gems start at a low level and climb as upgrade symbols are collected, up to level 7, so the same gem can pay far more later in a round.
Collected symbols also fill a feature meter. When it is full, gems transform into feature symbols, which keeps the round going.
Pirots 3 has more features than the earlier games. According to ELK, two adjacent birds have a random chance to duel: they move apart and shoot in any direction, collecting anything they hit, and three or more adjacent birds always duel. Collecting a key releases a bandit, who lands on the grid, collects symbols and duels the birds until he is defeated. The Train Heist starts when the same bird can collect a symbol on both train positions on the backdrop, and it awards up to three feature symbols.
OLBG describes the other feature symbols. Peanuts form bridges so birds can cross empty spaces, transform symbols turn nearby gems into the bird's colour, and dynamite blows up symbols and expands the grid to a maximum of eight rows by seven columns. Coin symbols pay between 5× and 10,000× the bet when a bird reaches them.
ELK says the Coin Game starts when the entire grid is cleared during the peanut feature or the bandit's escape. Coin bags and scorpions drop onto the grid, and the birds or the bandit try to catch them. In OLBG's description, captured coin bags are multiplied by the bet, a bird that catches a scorpion is out, and the feature ends when no collectors are left. In ELK's words, it is coin wins or scorpion death.
Three bonus symbols collected during a single round trigger the Pirots 3 bonus game. OLBG says it awards five free drops, and every bonus symbol collected during the bonus adds one more. ELK notes that the grid size, the progress on the feature meter, the payout level of the gems and the collection of extra bonus symbols all carry over from drop to drop, which is how a bonus grows. The super bonus game starts on the largest grid, 8×7 according to OLBG, with upgrade symbols that always upgrade every gem.
The Pirots 3 RTP is 94%, according to OLBG; ELK's game page does not state it. That is lower than many popular slots, and OLBG notes that ELK generally keeps its RTP around 94%. On £1,000 of total stakes, 94% means an average cost of about £60, against about £35 for a 96.5% game. For volatility, OLBG's data box says high, while its verdict says the Pirots series is medium volatility, so we show both. OLBG lists a hit frequency of 25.2%, so roughly one drop in four pays something, often less than the stake.
The Pirots 3 max win is 10,000× the bet, the potential ELK states on its game page. OLBG lists UK stakes of 20p to £5 a drop, so the Pirots 3 min bet is 20p, at the £5 UK maximum the top win would be £50,000, and at the £2 limit for 18 to 24 year olds £20,000. A win of that size needs a bonus game that reaches the largest grid with gems at high levels or a very large coin, and it is extremely rare.
ELK's X-iter menu lets players elsewhere pay more for a better start, with five modes from 3× the bet for a higher chance of the bonus up to 500× the bet for the super bonus. Paying to enter a bonus feature is not offered at UK licensed casinos, so British players reach the bonus game and super bonus by collecting bonus symbols in normal play. Check the game menu at your casino to see which options, if any, it shows.
A Pirots 3 demo is worth trying before you stake money, because the game has a lot to learn, and Pirots 3 free play costs nothing but time. UK licensed casinos offer free play once you have registered and passed the age check required in Great Britain. Watch how the birds move, how the feature meter fills and how often the bonus symbols turn up. The demo shows the rules; it cannot predict how a real money session will go.
The original Pirots is a 5×5 game from 2023 with a 94% RTP and a 10,000× top win, and it introduced CollectR. Pirots 3 keeps the same RTP and ceiling but uses a 6×7 grid and adds the duels, the bandit, the train heist and the coin game. OLBG also mentions a later game, Pirots X, with the same max win potential. If you found the first game easy to follow, Pirots 3 is the busier, more feature-packed version. On offers, no current UK offer in our database names it.
Pirots 3 is worth playing if you enjoy busy feature slots where something happens on most drops. The CollectR rule is simple, the duels and the bandit add variety, and the bonus game can build over several drops. The weak points are the 94% RTP, which costs more over time than many alternatives, and the amount of information on screen. Try the demo first, keep the stake small and set a limit before you start. 94%, according to OLBG. ELK Studios does not state it on its game page, so check the game info at your casino.
10,000× the bet, the potential ELK Studios states. That is £50,000 at the £5 UK maximum.
Collect three bonus symbols in one round. OLBG says the bonus starts with five free drops, and each extra bonus symbol adds one.
Four coloured birds move around the grid and collect gems of their own colour. Each matching gem pays its current value.
Paying to enter a bonus feature is not offered at UK licensed casinos, so the bonus comes only from collecting bonus symbols.
OLBG's data box says high, while its verdict calls the Pirots series medium volatility, so sources differ.
